they are nice and warm in the winter (sometimes a bit to warm)
From Craig at 2007-04-18 19:28:00 : I have seen them in action alisdair it takes a while to get the wheel chair on though really nice buses too mate
From alisdair at 2007-05-01 17:28:08 : i read in a newspaper in dunfermline one day that a woman wanted to catch the X26 to Kircaldy for a trip
Now this woman was in a wheel chair so she couldnt get it on a normal high floor bus.
The bus was advertised to be one of thouse but there was a problum with it and it had to be returned to the depot.
A high floored bus was the only replacement they could provide.
So she had to get out of her wheel chair and climb up the stairs and very uncomfortabley struggle up the steps.
These things happen but i think she made a complaint about the first driver who didnt know how to work the wheel chair equipment as the one going there was i think one of thouse.
From ALISDAIR at 2007-05-24 12:44:34 : I SEE THAT THEY HAVE A BRAND NEW COACH NOT SURE WHAT DEPOT IT COMES FROM SP07 IS ALL I KNOW.

From at 2007-06-13 22:53:40 : You only have to be 18 to drive a bus but do you not ?
From at 2007-06-14 01:35:20 : You can drive a bus from the age of 18 but I'm sure that there are certain restrictions until you reach 21.
From at 2007-06-14 17:10:53 : on private land you can drive it form 17 as far as i am aware but if you want a job with a bus company you need to be 21
From Alisdair at 2007-06-14 17:12:10 : sorry Craig yes i was meaning you mate
From at 2007-06-14 22:31:06 : You do not have to be 21 to get a job with a company its 18
From at 2007-06-14 23:51:38 : You can work with a bus company driving when your 18 as long as your route does not take you more than 30 MILES from your depot. This restriction is uplifted when you reach a certain age, not sure what age it is though...
From at 2007-06-15 07:37:03 : Its 21 and i didn't know that i thought you could drive anywhere at any age
From Gary at 2007-06-19 11:04:47 : well as a bus driver all i can say is that it is 21 and no earlier. you can work for the company but you cant drive them until that age. and these new coaches are the best ones we have ever bought i have been drivin for 19 years and these are the rolls royce of buses i find.
From at 2007-06-19 14:56:16 : Gary who do you drive for like
From Scott at 2007-06-19 17:07:52 : Actually Gary its 18 think i should know as i'm just about to start with First at Blantyre depot. 21 is when the 30 mile radius restriction is uplifted
From Alisdair at 2007-06-20 11:20:18 : do you drive for Stagecoach Gary?
if so what depot do you operate from?
From Craig at 2007-06-21 11:12:55 : A new forth crossing trialling on 16th till the 28th july Kirkcaldy to Portobello every 20 minutes hovercraft crossing
x90 and x91 will operate hourly from Kirkcaldy and Portobello shuttle bus service.
in Kirkcaldy behind thie Stagecoach garage on the Esplanade
In Portobello it landing location is just off Seafild road behind the Lotian Bus Depot. Go to stagecoachbus.com for pictures and for ticket and fare prices
From at 2007-06-21 15:56:00 : hovercraft that should be faster than going by road
From Craig at 2007-06-21 18:18:29 : NO TRAFFIC
From Gary at 2007-06-22 10:51:23 : i operate from the depot in Elgin which was Bluebird but now Stagecoach
From at 2007-06-22 13:19:01 : cheers gary thought you operated from Dunfermline depot thought i mayhave been on your bus
From Gary at 2007-07-03 10:52:21 : i have been all over the place with this company but iam settled fine in Elgin but you may have been i have been a few times to Dunfermline so you might of been. iam the best driver they have ....... well i think!!!!
From Alisdair at 2007-07-03 13:28:13 : i am sure you are i tend to use the D7 and the 78 (old 14) routes a lot i do use the 55 or X54 if i fancy a trip
From Alisdair at 2007-08-15 13:33:40 : if i was to join First or Stagecoach then they would only give me a run like the D7 to do then when i got some exprence driving a bus i could take a 78 or something like that.
Only if i had been with them for a while would i get the X24 or one of thouse routes to do.
From Scott at 2007-08-21 19:58:09 : i started Driving for stagecoach when i was 19, you can drive any bus as long as it is within the 30 mile distance as you cannot do Tachograph (EU) work until you are 21, after this you can do anything
From Alisdair at 2007-08-24 10:23:51 : Hi Scott what runs do you normaly do and what depot do you come from
From Scott at 2007-09-06 19:11:23 : Come from Perth Depot, do all town runs, the only 3 things i can't do are Megabus work, St Fillans runs and Aberfeldy runs, all others are fine. and you can drive any bus just as long as it's not breaking your restrictions
From Alisdair at 2007-09-11 09:54:50 : cool
